BART to OAK APM System

The BART to OAK project consists of a 3.2-mile-long APM system that connects Oakland International Airport to a regional rail transit station, BART’s Coliseum Station. Lea+Elliott was the General Engineering Consultant for the BART to OAK project, leading the planning, environmental review, procurement processes, and design review and construction management activities.

The BART to OAK APM system opened in November 2014.

In 2008, the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) named Lea+Elliott its Employer of the Year for the work the firm has led on the BART to OAK project.
